A Purdy Neat Wedding Julie & Mike Ellifritz July 16, 2011
On July 16 2011 there was a hustle and bustle about Purdy Neat Place. We were building memories for a lifetime. Our family welcomed Mike Ellifritz and his family to celebrate the marriage of our daughter Julie.
The wedding celebration was themed after Purdy Neat Place and we congregated in and around the grounds. The gardens were primed and pruned to perfection and a group of our closest family and friends all joined us here. We celebrated the unity of not only these two people but the unity between the lives and people we were joining together. We included a unique tree planting ceremony where Mike and Julie represented the lives they were beginning to grow. The children (dressed in purple polo shirts) were led by our youngest son, David in a march through the gardens signing a song made especially for them and presenting them with their wedding cake. The sun set over the pond and a spectacular show of fireworks lit up the sky to conclude the day’s events.
The day was a perfect summer day with blue skies and big puffy white clouds just as if we had ordered it. We had Fredicooks Catering cooking fresh food from local vendors and included some of our very own chicken. Heimiller Nursery and Pallister House Florist accessorized our event with gorgeous flowers. Byes Popcorn and Olcott Beach Carousal Park lent us fabulous entertainment between a sweet mass by Father Rob Woziank at St. Brendan on the Lake. All Seasons Rental provided us with an elegant shelter and other necessary equipment while Energy Entertainment spun tunes that sounded like butterflies dancing in the garden…until it was time for some dancing of course. Timkey Limousine catered us to our church locations and throughout Olcott for photo ops. We are happy to report, all the local vendors did a superior job in service.
